SPORTS: BCHS Track Athletes Head To State; Lady Tiger Softball Falls To Hancock In District

LEXINGTON (05/22/26) — The BCHS Track and Field team is sending several athletes to compete in the Class 2A State Championships today ON TGHE University of Kentucky campus. Competitors include Paxton DeWitt in Long and Triple Jump, Sua Worden in Shot Put, Amelia Foran in Girls 300-meter hurdles, and relay teams for Boys 4-by-400 and 800 and Girls 4-by-100 and 400.

HAWESVILLE (05/21/26) — The Breckinridge County Lady Tiger Softball saw their season close out on Thursday in a rain-delayed 13-6 defeat to Hancock County in the 11th District Tournament at Vastwood Park. The game was halted Monday afternoon by rain, then delayed further due to more rain and graduation events. The Lady Tigers finished the campaign with a 4-20 record. Ava Armes and Braylee Criss were named to the All-Tournament team.
