MADRID (05/07/26) — One person was taken to Leitchfield for treatment following an accident around seven Thursday night near Madrid.
According to the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle driven by Jonathan Sosh of Hudson was southbound on Kentucky 259 and attempted to turn onto Highway 401 but failed to observe a northbound vehicle on-coming, resulting in Sosh’s vehicle being hit in the passenger’s side.
Sosh was transported to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes by Breck Central EMS with a minor head injury. There was no indication if the juvenile of the other vehicle was injured.
Both vehicles suffered severe damage.
McDaniels and Harned Fire Departments were also called to the scene.
