MUNFORDVILLE (04/25/26) — A man was arrested in Hart County over the weekend after trying to flee from police.
Sheriff’s deputies observed a driver running a stop sign in Munfordville on Saturday. The driver, 53-year-old Timothy Riggs of Upton, refused to stop and fled from deputies, eventually running into a tree.
He fled into a wooded area before he was taken into custody.
Authorities say Riggs possessed a clear pipe containing suspected methamphetamine, a plastic bag of marijuana and a large amount of cash. After being checked out at a medical facility, Riggs was lodged in the Hart County Jail.
