(UPDATE, 7am- 04/29/26) — The National Weather Service has confirmed additional tornadoes from the early Tuesday morning severe weather outbreak.

The Paducah office confirmed tornado touchdowns in Hopkins and McLean Counties. That same storm cell spawned an EF-1 tornado near Hartford a short time later.

Another tornado was confirmed in Hart County, east of Millerstown.

The Louisville office confirmed straight-line wind damage in Green and Oldham Counties.

LOUISVILLE (04/28/26) — The National Weather Service in Louisville has confirmed a tornado touched down in Ohio County during the severe weather outbreak late last night and early this morning.

A damage survey team confirmed an EF-1 twister with winds near 100 miles an hour touched down north and east of Hartford.

The Weather Service received at least three reports of damage, all north of Hartford.

Damage surveys are also on-going in Adair, Green, Oldham and Taylor Counties with a survey being considered for storm damage in Grayson and Hart Counties.
