BARDSTOWN (04/18/26) — An inmate from the Nelson County Correctional Center who walked off his work program last week was taken into custody Saturday Jerry Nation fled from his work duties near Wire Lane in Bardstown Tuesday afternoon. The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office posted a picture on social media Saturday showing Nation taken into custody by officers. He was expected to be released in November, but is now expected to face additional charges for the escape attempt.
