Woman Killed In Saturday Night Wreck In Owensboro

OWENSBORO (04/18/26) — Owensboro Police say a woman is dead after a crash Saturday night. Officers responded to the 28-hundred block of J.R. Miller Boulevard where it was determined a van driven by 34-year- old Tina Brooks ran off the road and hit a utility pole and a tree. The impact caused the tree to fall, blocking the roadway for several hours. Brooks was the only person in the vehicle and she had to be extricated by the Owensboro Fire Department. She was transported by ambulance to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. The road was shut down for several hours for cleanup and investigation.
