ELIZABETHTPON (04/14/26) — A McDaniels man arrested earlier this year after a shooting which left a 15-year-old girl dead was arraigned in Hardin Circuit Court this week.

Louisville television station WLKY reported 21-year-old Bryan Harbison entered a not guilty plea to charges of unlawful transaction with a minor and first-degree wanton endangerment.

Authorities said Harbison met two teenage girls through Snapchat, thinking they were 18.

He’s accused of bringing the teens alcohol, and while they were sitting in a parking lot in Elizabethtown drinking, one of the girls picked up a gun inside the vehicle and fired a shot, killing Katan Atwell.

The other girl is charged with murder.

Harbison remains lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
