COLUMBUS (03/28/26) — Three people died after a vehicle crashed into the Mississippi River at Ingram Barge facility near Columbus in far western Kentucky. Employees called dispatch Saturday night after hearing the crash and finding what they believed to be a car that had hit their ramp and gone into the water. A diver went down to the vehicle and hooked it to a wrecker, with the bodies found inside the vehicle after it was pulled from the river. Names of the victims had not been released as of Sunday night.
