UPDATED: Responders Deal With Friday Morning Accidents In Hardinsburg, Meade County

UNDATED (03/20/26) — Area Emergency personnel were kept busy by a pair of accidents from Friday morning.

The first occurred around 7 at the intersection of U.S. 60 Bypass and Hooks Lane involving a Breckinridge County School bus and another vehicle.

According to Hardinsburg Police Chief Terry Laslie, the bus driven by Janet Danforth of Falls of Rough was headed south on Hooks Lane approaching the U.S.60 Bypass when she backed the bus up after bypassing Ballpark Road, hitting a vehicle driven by Shelby Pate of Hardinsburg. 

According to Superintendent Dr. Nick Carter, neither the bus driver or students on board were injured. Laslie said Pate was not injured.

Breck Central EMS, Hardinsburg Fire and the Breckinridge County Sheriff School Resource Officer responded to the scene.

The second occurring about 30 minutes later in Meade County at the intersection of 60 and Kentucky 1238 involved two vehicles that rolled over after impact. No other information was immediately available.
