OWENSBORO (02/16/26) — Authorities in Daviess County believe two men found shot to death in an Owensboro residence Monday morning is an apparent murder- suicide. It’s believed the 79-year-old father killed his 55-year-old son in a home on Shelly Drive before turning the gun on himself. Both men were thought to have had extensive medical issues, and authorities said the shootings were not a domestic situation. The incident is under investigation by Owensboro Police.
