Three-Vehicle Wreck At 60 Bypass and Old 60 Results In Only Minor Injuries

HARDINSBURG (01/23/26) — A three-vehicle accident at the intersection of U.S. 60 and old Highway 60 around 3 Friday afternoon resulted in only minor injuries. According to Adam Lucas with the Hardinsburg Police Department, a Chevy Silverado driven by 23-year-old Shyanna Sanders of Hawesville was crossing the intersection from old Highway 60 when it collided with a westbound GMC envoy driven by 65-year-old William Bland of Hardinsburg. The impact sent Bland’s vehicle into the direction of a Kia Sol driven by 32-year-old Matthew Cotten of Hardinsburg, who was in a turn lane at the intersection, but only grazing the Kia. Sanders was transported by Breck Central EMS to Breckinridge Memorial for observation. Bland suffered some cuts but declined treatment. Cotten and the occupants of his vehicle were not injured. Hardinsburg Fire, Irvington Police and Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene.
