COLUMBIA (01/14/26) — State Police say a dispute between a father and son in Adair County ended with the son shot to death and the father charged with murder. Troopers arriving at a Columbia residence on Tuesday found 33-year-old Jordan Handley with a gunshot wound; he died later at TJ Samson Hospital in Glasgow. Police determined Hadley and his father, Phillip, were in a heated argument, when the father pulled a gun out from his waistband and shot his son. The 56-year-old Hadley was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Detention Center.
