Sunday Shooting In Elizabethtown Leaves Juvenile Dead, Two Charged

ELIZABETHTOWN (01/11/26) — A shooting in Elizabethtown on Sunday afternoon left a teenager dead and two charged in connection to the incident. Police responded to the Lowe’s parking lot where they found a 15-year-old juvenile with a gunshot wound to the chest. She was pronounced dead later at Baptist Health Hardin. 21-year-old Bryan Harbison of McDaniels told police he met the victim and another juvenile through Snapchat, thinking they were 18. Harbison and the victim were sitting in the back of a vehicle when the other juvenile, a 15-year-old female, found a gun in the vehicle and shot the other juvenile. The juvenile suspect is in custody and has been charged with murder. Harbison has been charged with 3rd degree Unlawful Transaction with a Minor as well as 1st degree Wanton Endangerment; he was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center. An investigation is on-going.
