DUNDEE (12/29/25) — Residents of the Ohio County community of Dundee are mourning the loss of their Fire Department Chief. A Facebook post on Wednesday indicated that Chief Mike Sipla had passed away. He had been in the department for over five years. The post described as having a “heart for the community” and devoted to helping people in times of need. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on January 11th at the fire department.
