TELL CITY, In. (12/01/25) — A Tuesday night fire in Tell City has impacted structures housing the United Way of Perry County, the Perry County News and a consignment store.. Units were called to a location along Indiana Highway 37. Mayor Chris Cail said in a Facebook post that the fire was contained, but flames and smoke could be seen emanating from the building as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze. Cail called the situation “heartbreaking” but said officials are working with the United Way and Angel Tree on moving forward and asked for the community’s support.
