According to Breckinridge County Emergency Management, the county’s CodeRED text and app system was impacted by a recent cyber security incident on the vendor’s servers.
Company officials with CodeRED stated that there is no indication that any customer data or personal information has been compromised. The company is working to move users to a new platform and service will be down for an undetermined amount of time.
If an emergency alerts will be relayed to local media outlets and official social media pages.
