Morgantown Man Arrested On Drug-Related Counts During Ohio County Traffic Stop

BEAVER DAM (11/04/25) — A Butler County man is facing multiple drug-related charges following a traffic stop along the Western Kentucky Parkway in Ohio County this week. During the early Tuesday morning stop near the 80 milemarker, Sheriff’s deputies observed a black cylinder on the passenger-side floorboard consistent with devices commonly used to conceal illicit substances. After briefly stepping away to run the operator’s information, the deputy returned and noticed the cylinder was no longer in the vehicle. 33-year-old Dakota Renfrow was asked to get out of the vehicle, where he threw the cylinder, which was found to contain prescription narcotics and meth, into a nearby ditch. The Morgantown resident was taken into custody and booked into the Ohio County Detention Center after the arrest on the following charges…
