FRANKFORT (10/08/25) — The State Court of Appeals has upheld a state law that would keep convicted felons from possessing guns in Kentucky. A three-judge panel unanimously overturned a Jefferson Circuit Court ruling, which found the law unconstitutional. In that case, the Court stopped prosecutors from moving forward with a felon-in-possession charge against Jecory Lamont Frazier. Frazier has prior a felon-in-possession conviction, along with trafficking and fraud convictions. The judges ordered the Jefferson Circuit judge to reinstate the charges against Frazier.
