BOWLING GREEN (09/11/25) — Members of the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department were recently honored for their actions in the line of duty by the Kentucky Sheriff’s Association during their recent conference in Bowling Green. Deputies Chris Oquendo and Aaron Duncan were presented the Medal of Valor for their response to a January domestic violence incident under which they came under gunfire. Sheriff Billy Richardson was presented the Medal of Honor for his action in coordinating and leading the search for the suspect of that incident, which ended with the suspect’s arrest.
