SHEPHERDSVILLE (09/05/25) — The Breckinridge County High School Fighting Tiger Football team dropped to 0-3 on the season with a 28-15 loss to Bullitt Central on Friday night. The Tigers trailed 21-0 at halftime before a second-half rally, fueling by a Jacob Spitzer touchdown run and Spitzer to Aiden Burnette touchdown pass. Spitzer finished the night with 59 yards passing and 75 yards rushing. Paxton DeWitt has 36 yards receiving, 35 yards rushing and an interception on defense. Hudson Wrenn led the Tiger defense with 10 tackles for the game, Burnette recorded two tackles for loss and Joaquin Hernandez had a sack. The Tigers host Edmonson County on Friday (09/12) night.

UNDATED (09/08/25) — Members of the BCHS Golf team competed at the Semi-State preview in Henderson on Saturday, with Lemuel Wright the top individual for the Tigers with a 7th place finish. Wright and Lady Tiger golfer Adelynn Moorman are scheduled to compete in the 2A State Championships on Monday in Owensboro. The Lady Tiger Soccer team hosts Butler County at 6:30 Monday night.

LOUISVILLE (09/05/25) — Louisville defensive end AJ Green recovered a fourth-quarter fumble in the James Madison end zone to spark a fourth quarter rally as the Cardinals got past James Madison, 28-14 Friday night at Cardinal Stadium.

LEXINGTON (09/06/25) — Kewan Lacy ran for 138 yards and a touchdown to help No. 20 Mississippi beat Kentucky 30-23 on Saturday in the Southeastern Conference opener for both teams. Seth McGowan rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns for Kentucky.

BLOOMINGTON (09/06/25) — Fernando Mendoza threw for four touchdowns to lead No. 23 Indiana to a 56-9 rout of Kennesaw State on Saturday. Mendoza, a transfer from University of California, completed 18 of 25 passes for 245 yards.

TOLEDO (09/06/25) — Former UK player Chip Trayanum rushed for a career-high 163 yards and two touchdowns, Junior Vandeross III caught five passes for 122 yards and a score, and Toledo took down Western Kentucky 45-21 on Saturday night.
