BARDSTOWN (07/02/25) — A man who fled from a central Kentucky correctional facility last week was taken back into custody on Wednesday. The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office reported deputies acting on a tip located Jarred Ryan Barnes of Elizabethtown. Barnes walked away from the Bluegrass Career and Development Center in Richmond back on June 22nd. A woman at the location in New Haven where Barnes was found was also taken into custody on charges of Hindering Prosecution. Both were lodged in the Nelson County Detention Center.
