IRVINGTON (07/02/25) — One person was taken into custody following a pursuit through Breckinridge County Tuesday night. According to Irvington Police Chief Jason Ballman, a pursuit was initiated just after 9pm when a Ford pickup nearly hit a van head-on while attempting to pass another vehicle. The pursuit ended near the intersection of Kentucky Highway 261 and 108 north of McQuady when the truck missed the curve and struck a telephone pole. An investigation is on-going with charges pending. The Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department and Hardinsburg Police Department assisted at the scene.
