
6/26/2025—The Cloverport Board of Education approved an amendment to the contract with K12 Virtual Schools LLC at a Special Called Meeting Thursday evening. The three-year contract increases the revenues that the Cloverport District will receive from 3% to 5%.
In other business, the Board evaluated Superintendent Keith Haynes as “exemplary” in Cultural Leadership.
The Board approved a contract with Southern Kentucky Speech Services LLC to provide occupational therapy and school psychology services.
The Board tabled action on converting the Kentucky Virtual Academy from an A8(Virtual School) to an A1 school. They also tabled action on adopting policies related to creating a Site Based Council for the Virtual Academy and Cloverport.
The Board approved a property and liability insurance quote of $280,800 from Assured Partners.
The Board approved a Bond of “Depository” for Public School Funds and a Fidelity(performance) bond for the Treasurer.
Membership with the Green River Educational Co-op was approved.
The Board approved 2025 Kentucky School Board Association policy and procedures update.
The Board declared that no qualified applicant was available for the part-time Chemistry teacher position.
The Board approved Capital Fund requests of $1,930,658 by the Virtual Academy for technology hardware and $109,316 for building maintenance expenses.
A revised extra service pay schedule for Fiscal Year 2026 was approved.
The Board approved a Cafeteria Plan Service Agreement with Benefit Communicators, Inc.
The Board approved a School Resource Officer agreement with the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office for 2025/26.
The Board was informed that Apptegy’s Rooms platform will be used in the upcoming school year to provide a traceable communication system for staff and students.
