FRANKFORT (06/25/25) — The Federal Emergency Management Agency says deadlines are approaching for homeowners and renters to apply for FEMA assistance for damage and losses caused by the April storms. July 25th is the deadline for residents in 37 counties covered in the federal disaster declaration for the April storms to apply (that includes Breckinridge, Grayson, Hancock, Hardin, Meade and Ohio). In Breckinridge County, a recovery center is located at the McDaniels Community Center with hours of 7am to 7pm Monday through Friday. FEMA reports more 24 million dollars of assistance has been provided to residents impacted by the May storms.
