UNDATED (06/06/25) — A Tornado Watch is in effect for Grayson and Ohio Counties until 8 this evening and a “Slight” risk for severe weather for the rest of the 104-point-3, the River listening area for this afternoon and tonight.
Severe thunderstorms with strong winds pushed through the region late this morning. The Breckinridge County Airport recorded a wind gust of 56 miles an hour while the Kentucky Mesonet station reported a gust of 50 miles an hour around 11:30 this morning. Meade County RECC reported around 1,000 customers across the service area without power and around 900 around Hardinsburg and Cloverport were without power. Several trees were also reported down on several roadways across the county.
