Two Injured In Thursday Afternoon Motorcycle Accident

CONSTANTINE (06/05/25) — A motorcycle accident Thursday afternoon in the Constantine area sent two people to hospitals for treatment. According to the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office, the motorcycle was travelling along Kentucky 401 in the area of the Baptist Church just before 3pm when the vehicle ran off the shoulder, causing operator John Shea to lose control of the motorcycle. The 59-year-old Shea and a passenger, 46-year-old Trinity Friend of Elizabethtown, were ejected from the vehicle. Shea was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital with critical injuries. Friend was transported to Breckinridge Health by Breck Central EMS with minor injuries. Custer Fire Department also responded to the scene.
