
5/20/2025—The Cloverport Board of Education approved the tentative draft budget for the 2026 Fiscal Year at a Special Called Meeting Tuesday evening. The budget totals $22,990,770. In a related matter, the Board approved the 2026 salary schedule. Classified and Certified personnel will receive a 2% raise.
The Board approved all school activity budgets.
The Board approved a quote of $51,889.00 from Kentucky Employers Mutual Insurance and Zurich American for workers compensation insurance.
Final paperwork on the purchase of a home and property at 105 5th Street was approved.
The Board approved indirect cost rates and pay schedules for employees.
The Board approved adult meal prices. The cost of breakfast is $3.15 and lunch is $4.85.
The Board approved the audit contract with Drane and Co., PLLC.
A revised administrative procedure dealing with leave was approved.
The Board approved application for a COPS School Violence Prevention Program grant.
In personnel matters, Zach Critchelow was appointed Head Basketball Coach and Danielle Akridge was appointed as Pathways to Careers Teacher.
The retirement of Instructional Assistant Timothy Voyles was noted.
At the beginning of the meeting, third grade students Landon Emery and Dakota Nolan-Dean were each presented a bicycle donated by Breckinridge Lodge #67 F and AM. The students were recognized for academic and behavioral achievements.
