BRANDENBURG (05/13/25) — Authorities in Meade County are investigating the discovery of human remains in a field. Brandenburg police officers were called to Old State Road Saturday afternoon after a resident found the remains behind his home. The remains were taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville for autopsy and more information would be released after identification and next of kin notified. Brandenburg Police told media outlets in Louisville they were working a missing persons case, but could not confirm if the remains are tied to that case.
