CLOVERPORT (08/31/26) — Authorities were called to a report of a pedestrian struck in Cloverport Monday afternoon.
Units from Cloverport and Hardinshurg Fire Departments and Breck Central EMS were among those called to the area of Elm and 7th Streets just after 4pm Monday.
According to Kentucky State, the 11-year-old victim was operating a scooter and had pulled into Elm when struck by an approaching vehicle.
The victim was airlifted to Norton’s Children’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The child was pronounced dead Monday evening,
The incident is under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
