8/4/2026—The Breckinridge County Board of Education proposed tax rates for the 2026/27 school year at a Special Called Meeting Monday afternoon. The rates are: Real Property-56.4 cents per $100 assessed valuation; Personal Property-57.3 cents; and Motor Vehicle-55.7 cents. The rates must be publicized before final approval. Last year, the rates were: Real Property-56.9 cents; Personal Property-57.3 cents; and Motor Vehicle-55.7 cents.
In other business, the Board approved a district wide copier lease agreement with Advanced Document Solutions.
Before adjourning, Board members reviewed and discussed “Your Duty Under the Law” and “Managing Government Records”.
