KSP: One Dead In Friday Afternoon Accident In Brandenburg

BRANDENBURG (05/29/26) — One person was killed and three others were seriously injured following an accident in Brandenburg just before 3:30 Eastern time Friday afternoon.

The preliminary investigation by Kentucky State Police indicates that a 2017 Subaru WRX, operated by 34-year-old Dustin Farmer of Central, Indiana, was traveling north on the  Bypass when it crossed into the center turn lane and into the path of a 2015 Ford F-150 pickup truck being operated by 25-year-old Maia Fisher of Missouri, resulting in a head-on collision.

Farmer was pronounced dead at the scene by the Meade County Coroner. Fisher sustained serious injuries and was flown to University of Louisville Hospital. Two juvenile passengers in Farmer’s vehicle were also seriously injured and were taken to Norton Children’s Hospital and University of Louisville Hospital.

The accident remains under investigation.
