Breckinridge Circuit Court-Division 2

5/6/2026—Division 2 of Breckinridge Circuit Court with Judge Kenneth H. Goff II met Wednesday.

Ernie L. Dean, 65, pleaded not guilty to 1^st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 2^nd offense.  In another case, Dean pleaded not guilty to 1^st degree fleeing/evading police; 1^st degree criminal mischief; 1^st degree wanton endangerment/police officer; 1^st degree wanton endangerment; 1^st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1^st offense; failure of owner to maintain required insurance, 2^nd or greater offense; operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance; operating a motor vehicle with an expired license; and possession of marijuana.  A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 17.

Todd A. Jones, 35, pleaded not guilty to 2^nd degree assault; 1^st degree unlawful imprisonment; and two counts of 4^th degree assault/minor injury.  A pre-trial conference was scheduled for July 8.

Samuel R. Moore, 38, pleaded not guilty to 1^st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1^st offense.  A pre-trial conference was scheduled for May 20.

Mary L. Sarver-Douthitt, 49, pleaded not guilty to 2^nd degree burglary.  A pre-trial conference was scheduled for July 8.

Robert M. Coffey, 32, pleaded not guilty to receiving stolen property valued between $1,000 and $10,000 and obscuring the identity of a machine valued between $500 and $10,000.  A pre-trial conference was scheduled for July 8.

Jo Elliot Marcum, 43, pleaded guilty to 1^st degree trafficking in a controlled substance(meth), 1^st offense; 2^nd degree trafficking in a hallucinogen, 1^st offense; trafficking in marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and public intoxication/controlled substance.  Sentencing was scheduled for July 8.

Kevin Payne, 46, was sentenced to 14 days in prison, credited for time served, for contempt of court.

Glen R. Nelson, 53, pleaded guilty to 1^st degree sexual abuse.  Sentencing was scheduled for July 8.

Kenneth D. Bishop, 50, pleaded guilt to flagrant non-support.  Sentencing was scheduled for July 8.

Johnathan T. Morgan, 32, pleaded guilty to two counts of 2^nd degree wanton endangerment and 1^st degree possession of a controlled substance(meth), 1^st offense.  Sentencing was scheduled for July 8.

James L. King, 45, pleaded guilty to 1^st degree possession of a controlled substance, 3^rd or greater offense. In another case, he pleaded guilty to 2^nd degree fleeing/evading police; 2^nd degree wanton endangerment/police officer; and failure of non-owner to maintain required insurance, 1^st offense.  Sentencing was scheduled for July 8.

Benjamin C. Ferry, 61, was sentenced to ten years in prison, probated for three years, for theft by unlawful taking of an auto valued between $1,000 and $10,000.
