
CLOVERPORT (05/04/26) — Firefighters were called to a report of a structure fire in Cloverport early Monday morning. According to Cloverport Chief Zach Lucas, units were called out around 4:15 to the 100 block of west Houston Street around 4:30 this morning to find one structure nearly burned to the ground and a second adjoining structure fully involved in fire. One occupant of the second residence made it out safely and was being assisted by the Red Cross. No injuries were reported. Lucas said the fire was suspicious in nature with the State Fire Marshal’s office called in to investigate. Hardinsburg and Harned Fire Departments and Breck Central EMS were also initially called to the scene. Units remained on scene until around 7:30 Monday morning.
