4/16/2026—The Cloverport Board of Education approved a motion to authorize Superintendent Keith Haynes to negotiate purchase of property at their regular meeting Thursday evening.  The property is located at 308 Poplar Street and 305 4th Street.

 

In other business, High School graduation is Friday, May 15 at 6:00pm Central Time.  Graduation for Kentucky Virtual Academy seniors will be Saturday, May 23 at the Kentucky Horse Park at 4:00pm Eastern Time.

 

The Board approved the 2026/27 Preschool Program Plan.  Three-and Four-year old students will be eligible for the program.

 

The Board approved the revised Needs Assessment and School Improvement Plan addendum.

 

The Board rejected a bid from Carr, Riggs, and Ingram for district audit services.  They then approved a bid by Patrick and Associates in the amount of $30,000 for audit services.

 

The Board approved blanket hiring of emergency certified substitutes for 2026/27.

 

The Board approved renewal of a contract with Family Health Care Associates.

 

The Cloverport Schools master schedule for 2026/27 was approved.

 

The following items were declared as surplus property: a US General toolbox; a John Deere mower lift; two self-propelled mowers; and a 1995 Ford F-150 truck.

 

In personnel matters, Hannah Flood has been hired as the Elementary Academic Interventionist and Nancy Weedman was hired as FRYSC Coordinator.
