MARION (04/02/26) — A Sheriff’s Deputy in western Kentucky was injured in a shooting Thursday afternoon. The Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office was responding to a welfare check near Sturgis when a deputy was shot by an individual in the residence. The deputy was transported from the scene for treatment. The County Coroner was also called to the scene. No other information was released. Kentucky State Police are investigating the shooting.
