TELL CITY, In. (04/03/26) — Two people were arrested on Friday in Perry County after police were called to a Tell City home Tuesday on a report of an unresponsive child. The child, identified as 2-year-old Erik Reichard, was pronounced dead at the scene. A subsequent investigation led to the arrests of 39-year-old Trevor Reichard-Hayes and 31-year-old Katherine Carter on charges of murder and neglect. Two other children were removed from the residence as the incident remains under investigation.
