HARDINSBURG (04/03/26) — A bomb threat made against the Walmart location in Hardinsburg late Friday afternoon prompted an evacuation and search but turned up nothing suspicious.
According to Assistant Police Chief Adam Lucas, authorities received a call just before 5 Friday afternoon with the threat. The store and parking lot were evacuated as a precaution, but a sweep of the building turned up nothing, but the building turned back over to store officials around 6 Friday.
The incident remains under investigation.
The threat came just hours after a similar one was made against the store in Leitchfield. Likewise, a search there turned up nothing. The local threats are part of several threats to stores in Kentucky and other states.
