Kentucky Powerball Winner Facing More Criminal Charges

LEXINGTON (03/28/26) — More legal woes for a Kentucky man who won a 167- million dollar Powerball: James Farthing was arrested Saturday in Lexington on burglary and marijuana possession charges. According to an arrest citation, Farthing unlawfully entered a residence, where a victim said she saw the suspect at the side door on her cameras. The arrest follows previous charges for hit-and-run and intimidation in Kentucky. In April 2025, Farthing was arrested in Florida on misdemeanor charges of battery and resisting an officer. He pled guilty to his charges earlier this month.
