Local candidates provided their views on topics of interest during the Local Candidate Business-Ag Forum Thursday (3/26) night at the Breckinridge County High School.
Breckinridge County candidates for Magistrate and Sheriff races were on stage and answered a panel of questions related to their race. The recurring topics include maintenance of county roads, supplying municipal water to the entire county and various ways to promote and bolster economic development across the county. In the Sheriff’s race, candidates discussed the importance of relationships in the community and with other agencies along with the various responsibilities of the office.
The event was hosted by the Greater Breckinridge County Chamber of Commerce, Breckinridge County Farm Bureau, and Breckinridge County Extension Service. A second part 2 of the forum series will be held on Tuesday evening (3/31) at 5:30 at the Breckinridge County High School Auditorium.
