TELL CITY (03/24/26) — A Perry County, Indiana food pantry has found a new permanent home. Tell City Mayor Chris Cail announced on Facebook this week that the Widows Barrel pantry will be set up in a new location along Indiana Highway 66.
No specific opening date was announced.
The pantry had moved out of its former location of the Community Christian Church at the end of last year in a disagreement and operated temporarily at the Cannelton Food Pantry.
Director Mark Laflin told Evansville television station WFIE earlier this year they serve about eight-hundred people.
