
HARDINSBURG (03/12/26) — A joint investigation involving Hardinsburg Police and the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department into a recent break-in at a local daycare facility has resulted in five people taken into custody.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, 33-year-old Connor Mettling of Louisville was arrested Thursday afternoon at a residence on Austin Drive on charges of third-degree burglary, criminal mischief and resisting arrest in connection to a recent burglary at the Learning Academy on old Highway 60.
Four other people were arrested on unrelated charges: 26-year-old Rebecca Macey was for hindering apprehension, 27-year-old Christopher Macey and 54-year-old Melissa Macey on warrants for probation violation and 49-year-old Kristopher Beard on a warrant.
