One Dead, One Hurt, Two Arrested In Daviess County Shooting

KNOTTSVILLE (03/09/26) — Daviess County authorities have arrested two men in connection to a fatal shooting from the weekend near Knottsville.

Deputies were called to a location off Highway 144 and St. Lawrence Road just after 12:30 Saturday morning, where an altercation occurred, resulting in shots fired. Two people were hit: 19-year-old Brody Lanham of Knottsville was taken to Owensboro Regional Health, where he died from his wounds. A juvenile was also transported, but was treated and released.

20-year-old James Carr turned himself into authorities in Boone County early Monday morning. He is charged with murder, assault and tampering with physical evidence.

19-year-old Ayden Farrow was arrested and lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center on charges of hindering apprehension and evidence tampering.

The investigation into the shooting is on-going.
