BEAVER DAM (03/05/26) — An accident along the Western Kentucky Parkway in Ohio County Thursday afternoon left one person dead. Authorities said a westbound tractor trailer crossed the median near the 67 mile marker and struck an eastbound semi head-on, killing the driver of that vehicle. The driver of the other semi suffered only minor injuries. A passenger car also caught up in the accident, but no injuries were reported from that vehicle. The Parkway between Central City and Beaver Dam was shut down several hours for clean-up and investigation. In addition, Kentucky 604 in Muhlenberg County was closed for cleanup and investigation of an accident involving a semi. Drivers had been using the road as a detour around the crash.
