FRANKFORT (02/26/26) — The Kentucky House approved it’s version of the two-year spending plan on Thursday, sending it to the Kentucky Senate for approval. The bill outlines how the commonwealth will spend taxpayer dollars through 2028, covering public schools, state employee benefits, and other areas of government. An earlier version of the bill proposed capping the state’s contribution to employee health insurance at 5% was removed from the spending plan.
