CLOVERPORT (02/05/26) — During a recent called meeting, the Cloveport City Council heard an update on structural conditions for properties along West Main Street. Code Enforcement Officer Kyle Brown reported on the timeline of events, dating back to October of 2004, when properties at 224, 229 and 231 were deemed as “unsafe imminent dangers”. Last month, the owner of properties of 224 and 231 entered into an argument with the State Fire Marshal’s office to oversee and enforce remediation. The city would not be held liable during the remediation process. The city has spent about nine-thousand dollars on the process. Residents are asked to report any debris from the properties to City Hall.
