
LEXINGTON (02/03/26) — Kentucky State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Lexington from Tuesday. Police were attempting to make a traffic stop on a vehicle connected to outstanding felony warrants from North Carolina. During the attempted traffic stop, three Lexington police officers discharged their agency issued weapons, striking the suspect. An unidentified 40-year-old male was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. No officers were injured in the incident. State Police said a firearm was recovered from the vehicle.
