HAWESVILLE (02/02/26) — The Century Aluminium plant site in Hancock County has been sold. The plant west of Hawesville was idled in 2022 due to rising energy costs, but production resumed last summer. Reports indicate that a company called TeraWulf, known for bitcoin mining and high-performance computing, has plans to redevelop the site into an AI Data Center.
