UNDATED (01/30/26) — Utility crews continue to restore power lost from the storm last weekend across Kentucky. As of early Friday morning, the number of customers without power was down to about 25-hundred from the peak of over 70-thousand back at the weekend. Governor Beshear reported Thursday crews are also working to maintain service to drinking and wastewater systems in light of freezing waterlines. Statewide, 14 drinking water systems are on limited operations. Several line breaks have prompted boil water advisories for 11,029 customers. Beshear says the death toll from the storm has reached 12 with a fatality reported in Lexington.
