1/15/2026—The Cloverport City Council approved two grant application resolutions at a Special Called Meeting Thursday evening. The first grant application is for $459,413 through the Kentucky Transportation Department’s Transportation Alternative Program. The second grant application is for $112,500 through the Kentucky Council on Economic Development.
If both applications are successful, the city will pay $2,500 to complete the project.
The funds are to be used to mitigate stormwater drainage on 0.2 miles of Elm Street. The project includes new sidewalks and drainage ditches.
The vote to approve the motion was 4-0. Council members Tim White and Derek Henderson did not attend the meeting.
