VANZANT (01/13/26) — Units from three area departments were called to a report of a structure fire on Old Railroad Road early Tuesday morning. Hardinsburg, McDaniels and Harned departments were called to the 4000 block just after 4 this morning, where a trailer was found on fire. The blaze was brought under control, but the structure was a total loss. Hardinsburg Chief Nathan Smith was not sure if the trailer was occupied as there was no electricity running to the building. A McDaniels firefighter was taken to the hospital after becoming ill. Units remained on scene until around 7:20 this morning.
